About The Hip Handmade Market: The Hip Handmade Market (HHM) is a curated indie-craft marketplace happening on Friday November 13th 7-10 pm and Saturday November 14th, 2015 from 10 am to 4 pm. It is the perfect place to purchase some original handmade wares while supporting local artists and crafters. This event is juried from a number of applications to offer a wide variety of local handmade goods. Expect good quality and affordable products. Our Market will showcase an array of mediums that might include, paper goods, jewelry, clothing, vintage finds, toys, accessories, photography, wood working, painting & so much more! Aside from the exciting shopping, we will offer you a fun and relaxed vibe, a free photo booth, hourly giveaways, and an all around good time! This will be the second year and third HHM, (spring + fall 2014). Patrons and vendors alike fell in love with our vision and we believe that our event is just the start of our committee’s involvement in the nation's growing craft movement. Southwest Missouri and its surrounding regions house a thriving craft and independent artist community. We hope to be a hub for these makers to come together and showcase their fine products year after year. The Hip Handmade Market will be taking a $1 per adult entry that will 100% benefit Art Feeds Joplin. The Art Feeds crew will be there with a creative and free photo booth! Who can sponsor?: Sponsorship of The Hip Handmade Market is open to anyone interested in supporting artists, crafters, + the rest of the handmade community in Southwest Missouri
About our vendors: All interested participants submitted an application form and photos or links of their work through our website as well as a non-refundable $15 application fee during open call. Booth fees start at $75 for accepted vendors. We do not collect any percentage of our vendors’ sales and the vendor fees go directly back into the show. Those fees help us to cover the cost of the location as well as administrative costs, processing applications, website upkeep, etc.. Applications were reviewed by a jury of locals who share our love for handmade. Participants are chosen according to the quality, innovation, and uniqueness of their work.
Date + location: The Hip Handmade Market will be held at The Roxy Even Center in Downtown Joplin. Our event is scheduled for ticket holders only Friday night November 13th. Friday night HHM goers can expect a plate of appetizers, one drink voucher, and getting to shop before everyone else! Tickets $15 and are on sale via the HHM website. On Saturday, November 14th, 2015 we'll be open to everyone from 10am to 4pm for a $1 donation to Art Feeds.

What is expected from your sponsors?: Sponsors of The Hip Handmade Market will be expected to share our event on their own social media outlets. We ask that you place some fliers at your check out or even drop some fliers into your shoppers’ bags during the weeks leading up to the event. We'll even get you a sponsor flier to hang in your store window! We also want to do some giveaways; we all love free stuff and winning something is definitely a good reason to check out the show. We ask that you please donate something to be given away during our show. It's really just another way to get your name out there; this could be store credit, merchandise, or even a service. Of course we want to see your lovely face come by and check out the event if you're able!
How much does it cost to be a sponsor?: The basic level sponsorship of The Hip Handmade Market is $50 with additional levels offering more ways to be involved and featured. The funds we receive from sponsors go toward decorations, goods + services, and everything needed to make this event one to remember. Additionally you could provide The Hip Handmade Market with goods or services equal to the additional amount instead to move up levels. For example, you pay the $50 sponsorship cost + provide $50 worth of goods, which moves you up to the Silver Sponsor level. Our vendors would love coffee to fuel them after all the late nights of prep. Or you could bring them lunch! You could sponsor part of our location rental, printing of our fliers, our Friday night appetizer, etc... We have plenty of ideas and are happy to make things work with your schedule and budget.
